Salmon fly fishing & Salmon rowing

Salmon and trout rise up the Tornio- Muonio River system, the border river between Finland and Sweden. The Muonio River also offers the possiblity to catch big grayling. Our salmon fishing locations are at Reponiemi 15km south from Muonio village (exellent for rowing) and Sonkamuotka 35km north from Muonio village (exellent for salmon rowing / exellent for salmon fly fishing when the water level is right).

Salmon and trout fishing season: 1.6-31.8. (best time for salmon fishing in Muonio river: 25.6-31.8). Other species (grayling, pike, perch) are allowed: 1.6-15.9

Salmon Fishing is not allowed from Sunday 7 pm to Monday 7 pm. At this time salmon are allowed to swim upstream in peace.
