Salmon fly fishing and rowing at Muonio River

Salmon and trout climb up Muonio River, the border river of Finland and Sweden. Muonio River it’s also possible to catch big grayling from this location. Our salmon fishing locations are at Reponiemi 15km south from Muonio village (exellent for rowing) and Sonkamuotka 30km north from Muonio village (exellent for salmon fly fishing and rowing). We provide fishers full service and unforgettable memories.  

Trip example:

5 day salmon fishing vacation 

Arrival To Kittilä airport. Transfer to Muonio (70km). Welcoming meeting with coffee and accommodation at a cabin. The Fishing guide cooks salmon on open fire and shows the hottest salmon fishing spots. Guide will share his knowledge.

Program:

First 2-3 days consist of fly fishing or rowing at Enontekiö/Sonkamuotka rapids and the following 1-2 at other excellent river locations (based on salmon spottings). An experienced fishing guide with local knowledge is at your use when needed. Sauna will be warmed for the evenings and dinner will be served either at a Lappish kota fireplace or the cabin. A transport to the airport will be arranged for the last day!

Salmon Fishing is not allowed from Monday 7 pm to Wednesday 7 pm. At this time salmon are allowed to swim upstream in peace.
