Fly Fishing tour in Finnmark Norway

The most best tundra fly fishing waters in the world... Last season biggest grayling 1,9kg, biggest trout 4,9kg, biggest charr 2,6kg and biggest pike 11,5kg! (All records C&R)

Mollis is a genuine mountai n lodge and one of the few that was not connected to the existing road network when these were built in Finnmark. The mountain lodge is literally in the middle of the Plateau, equidistant from Alta and Karasjok, 70 kilometres each way. 

Facilities The mountain lodge has recently been restored. Per Edvard and Randi have a total of 54 beds in 5 huts and rooms in the main building. They have a modern kitchen, sanitation, a lounge with a hearth and a dining room. The setup also has a sauna and a turf hut, or gamme. The gamme is used for smoking meat as well as an eating space for guests. At Mollis the focus is naturally on the cuisine of the Plateau, and they make the most delicious dishes from the resources right outside the door. In both summer and winter, trout, arctic charr and grayling, pike and perch are fished out of the Iesjokka, one of the best-stocked rivers in Finnmark. You are right in the middle of cloudberry and grouse country. These resources are reaped and often adorn Mollisjoks aromatic table.

Program:

1 day - Arrive. 

 Arrive at Alta, Ivalo, Rovaniemi or Kittilä airport. Transfer to Finnmark in Norway. Arrived at a small Sami village Suosjärvi. Then we begin an exciting trip with a jeep. Over fells and rivers in the middle of wilderness and tundra. The trip over the fell lasts 2 hours (30km). We arrive at the Mollis Nedre fell center. Welcome drinks, lunch and introduction to the programs and Sámi culture. Sauna and dinner. Night in cottage

 2 day - Iesjohka River... Record grayling? 

Breakfast and transfer by river boat (40minute) 15km up to river and we arrive in the world's most best grayling and trout fishing waters. All day we will fish grayling and trout. We spend night in tent. Lunch and dinner are made by the open fire.

3 day - Change trout fly.

Brekfast. Today we try to catch big tundra trout! Lunch by the open fire. Evening we begin the journey back to the cottage. Sauna, dinner and night in cottage.

 4 day - Be careful... There living monster pikes.

 5 day - Choose free. 

Breakfast. Today you can choose do you want to fish trout, perch, pike or grayling? Evening farefell dinner with your guides, sauna and jacuzzi. Night in cottage.

6 day - Back to home.

Breakfast. We start our journey with a jeep trough the tundra. Transfer to airport.

Helicopter fly fishing trip in Finland | Magic Tundra River!

In this magic River.. here lives Giant grayling (1kg-2kg), trout (1-3kg) and very big Whitefish (1kg-5kg). The source of the river is located in the high fell range. The elevation of the primary headwater lake of the river is more than 600 meters above sea level. The river runs far away from any settlement, so it is a genuine wilderness river. Distance to the nearest road is about 35 km. This is the main reason why there has not been over-fishing in the river, and, consequently, the grayling have been able to attain trophy size. We have been naming the rapids of the river as 2100, 1850, 1800, 1780 etc., not by the length of the rapids, but by the weight (in grammes) of the largest grayling we have caught there.

Program:

1 day - Arrive.

Arrive at Kittilä airport and transfer to Kilpisjärvi (appox, 280km). Welcome drinks and short introduction to the programme. Accommodation in cottage. Sauna and dinner.

2 - 6 day - Helicopter fly fishing tour!

Breakfast and helicopter transfer far away of Arctic Wilderness and Fly fishing adventure begis! During the trip our experienced fly fishing guides will share their knowledge of the best fly fishing places where fish are waiting to be caught. Ofcourse fly fishing is the main goal for the adventure but we don’t forget to enjoy nice Arctic mountain views and Wild nature with cup of coffee every now and then. We spend nights in tent. Lunch and dinner is served every day by the open fire.

Afternoon on the day 6 helicopter picup us back to civilization and you have a sauna, and nice farewell dinner with your guides in hotel Kilpisjärvi!

7 day - Back to home.

Breakfast. Transfer to Kittilä airport (appox 280km) and return flight.

Fishing tour in Northwest Lapland - Muonio 

The nature of Muonio is expressive. We have a great number of large and small lakes with fish, hundreds of kilometers of rivers and streams, wilderness, fells and fertile soil for berries, roaring rapids and beutiful scenery. The town lies at the latitude 68 N, in North-Western Lapland. The area of our municipality is 2014 km² out of  which water and waterways 124 km². Arctic food culture is worth an Idea as well. Here you can taste and be fascinated by the traditional meals of Lappland, cooked from the clean and unique rawmaterials of the North, like: reindeer, game birds, various fish, wild mushrooms and berries.

Muonionjoki River, one of the best salmon rivers in Finland. Salmon and trout climb up Muonionjoki River, the border river of Finland and Sweden. It’s also possible to catch large grayling from this location!

Program:

1 day - Arrive.

Arrive at Kittilä airport and transfer to Muonio (appox, 80km), located in North Western Lapland. Welcome drinks and short introduction to the programme. Accommodation in riverside (Muonionjoki river) cottage. Sauna and dinner. Cottage located in one of the best salmon fishing hotspots in Muonionjoki river!

2 day - Rafting & Fishing.

Breakfast. Transfer to our fishing places in Muonionjoki River (10-20km). Coffee moment where our guides will advise you with the important safety matters and present the route that you will take. Fishing safari start.

On the fishing trip a raft (2-6 persons / raft) will take you cross the border and fishing will happen on both Sweden and Finnish side of the river. On this fishermen delight we will shoot down funny rapids but also enjoy calmer fish full waters. A experienced fishing guide will assist with fly and reel fishing and take you to the best locations. There graylings, trout, pikes and salmon waiting to be caught. Whilst fishing a outdoor lunch with black pot coffee will be served at a nice lean-to shelter by the real fire. In the evening we arrive back to your cottage. Sauna and dinner.

3 day - Tundra river & Giant graylings.

River Könkämäeno runs south from Kilpisjärvi Lake. From the altitude of 473metres it flows 90km through the rugged highlands down to 142metres. Where Lätäseno River meets with Könkämäeno above village Karesuvanto there river becomes the great River Muonio.

Breakfast. Transfer to Könkämäeno River (130-150km/1-2 hours). Fishing is the main goal for the day but we don’t forget to enjoy nice mountain views with cup of coffee or juice every now and then. Lunch is served by the open fire. Late evening we start our journey back to Muonio. Dinner and sauna are waiting for us back in the village. 

4 day - Fishing in Sweden.

During the fourth day we will fish the arctic char, pike, perch, trout and grayling at the forest lake Naakajärvi in Sweden

Breakfast. Transfer to Naakajärvi Lake in Sweden (80km/1 hour). During the fishing day we make lunch by the open fire and coffee, juice and pastries are served all day long. Evening we drive back to Muonio, sauna and farewell dinner with local specialities together with your guides. This program can also be arranged in the night if you want to try midnight sun fishing!

5 day - Salmon Rowing or Fly fishing? Try to catch silver Salmon!

Our salmon fishing locations are at Reponiemi 15km south from Muonio village (exellent for rowing) and Sonkamuotka 30km north from Muonio village (exellent for salmon fly fishing and rowing). So, today our salmon fishing guide shows the hottest salmon fishing spots and assist salmon fishing. Guide will share his knowledge. Of course we not can promise that you catch salmon, but possible is good! During the day our fishing guide cooks salmon on open fire. Sauna will be warmed for the evening and farewell dinner will be served either at a Lappish kota fireplace or the cabin.

6 day - Back to home.

Breakfast. Transfer to Kittilä airport and return flight.
