Personal fly fishing Guide
Hi! My name is Aki Huhtanen and I live in Kilpisjärvi. I have worked as a full-time fishing and wilderness guide in Kilpisjärvi for 20 years. My passion is dry fly fishing for Giant Grayling! But I love all northern fish species, such as Whitefish, Brown, Sea Trout, Arctic Char, and Pike as well.

I offer guided fly fishing in Kilpisjärvi and the Käsivarsi wilderness area. The Kilpisjärvi area, including the Swedish and Norwegian sides, offers an incredible amount of fly fishing opportunities. Hundreds of kilometers of floatable, fishable water within just an one hour drive/river boat ride of village. Add to this an endless amount of lakes, ponds, small streams and you have an angler's paradise.
Combine floating and wading to hit water that shore anglers can't reach!
On these tours, we use inflatable river boats and white water rafts to access best fishing spots that are impossible to access on foot, and then go wade and methodically fish them. Sometimes we also fish from a boat. But usually it's just our taxi to quickly get to new fishing spots.
Tours are suitable for every skill level, from beginners to experienced fishers. Kids are welcome, and I love to share my passion and knowledge. The trip will be customised to suit your skill level.

There is no greater access to Käsivarsi wild rivers than via a helicopter!
I offer single day heli-fishing trips as well as multi-day fishing trips.
This is a perfect trip for folks who want a wilderness trip/experience.
On the multi-day heli-trips we can stay in a cosy wilderness cabin by the wild river Lätäseno or in a tents and all camping gear is included.
- Rate, single day heli-fishing: From 2400€. This price is for the helicopter and guide. Helicopter may take up to 5 passenger
The final price depends on the destination where fly to.
